The Number strand from the Australian Curriculum we will be looking at is Number and Place Value.

The task calls for us to select a sub topic within the strand of Number and algebra and analyse this sub strand within the context of the larger strand. Analysis must include appropriate procedural and declarative knowledge along with issues and challenges that are likely to face learners at various stages of learning. Literature based responses to these issues and challenges will also be included. Each group member will subit their own precis detailing their individual learning as a result of this collaborative task.
